Even under the car it's a Go NoGo check. With the car level remove the fill bolt. If oil trickles out let it trickle until it stops. If no oil leaks out add oil until it does. For this much trouble I just change it. Gearbox is always smoother after the oil change seemingly regardless of what oil is used.
