I already got some ideas from the good S2000 enthusiasts at S2000.com. I don't mean to undermine anyone, because I respect everyone's opinions and recommendations, but, I just want to get some more ideas on how to take care of my Stewie.

This is my problem:

I have an 05 Stewie. I bought it used so I don't know what the shifting is supposed to feel like. However, I do know that smooth shifting is an S2000 feature. When I purchased the car at 10,000 miles it was rough shifting from 1st gear into 2nd and 2nd into 3rd. The dealer after much consultation with tech support decided to change the type of transmission fluid.

Now the car, when cold, is still rough shifting from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. After it warms up; however, it's smooth shifting from 1st to 2nd, but still rough from 2nd to 3rd.

The dealer is telling me that the next step is to take the transmission appart. I really don't trust the dealer enough to let them take my Stewie's transmission appart, because they have messed up much simpler jobs in the past.

The dealer assures me that their technicians are more than competent to handle the job. WHAT SHOULD I DO?

 

If under warrenty let the dealer operate!
