From the DIY, it seems to be a very tricky and trial and error procedure. Do you have any helpful suggestions?

A shop light for starters. Keep in mind that everything is backwards from the position you'll be in but lefty loosey, righty tighty still applies.

In my case, I adjusted the nut about a full turn to get the feel I wanted. YMMV. You definitely don't want to go too far.

Two bottles of the new stuff with tax cost me ~$11. So yeah, it's worth the money. If you're nice to the dealer service guys they might even do it for free when the car is up on the rack for an oil change (if you take your car to the dealer for that stuff).

just got back from dealer and they flushed my tranny and refilled with new mtf....will let you know if there if is an improvement
