ok i figured with it costing more there was more put into making it and thus being a better product than the mobil one.

If you want to get some idea about how RP 75W-90 GL5 stacks up to other commonly sold gear oils for diffentials in general go here:

http://www.amsoil.com/products/gearl...hitePaper.aspx

If you are looking for UOA's on RP gear oil to compare it to other brands, I am not aware of any for the S2000. But I do know that Mobil1 75W-90 GL5 compares very well with LE607 (discontinued now) in the S2000, even though it is not as viscous. I have only seen one UOA of Redline 75W-90 GL5 in the S2000, and the wear metals were unacceptable to me.

I'm currently trying LE1605 and haven't done a UOA yet (5K miles so far). If a cold climate were my concern, I would try AMSOIL SVT 75W-110 first. If that wasn't available, I would try M1 75W-90 or 75W-140.

At first i went with RP Max Gear 75-90W from Auto Zone. Did some searching and i found more great reviews for M1 than RP..i decided to exchange the RP for M1..this was this past wednesday....so far its good, but im sure RP is prolly the same...

If you do go with whichever just remember you can always change it...

I don't know about their transmission oils but Royal Purple engine oil gets a pretty good write up here :
