S2000 bleeding problem
Hey guys I have a problem with bleeding my engine. I just installed a used engine on my car as the previous one was toast. I tried to do the coolant bleed procedure but when the coolant heats up it starts bubbling on the funnel. The engine also pushed the coolant out, the level on the funnel starts rising and shortly after it starts bubbling violently. Has anyone ever had this happen ?
Do this. I've used it twice and mine bleeds just fine. Both times, it took a while and longer than I expected. It worked out well though.

I'd like one of those funnel things from LHT to spin the water and avoid introducing bubbles in the first place. My preference would be to use that funnel and do the Billman process to bleed the rest of the air out.

I’ve also been checking all the other components, my heater valve is good, but from checking the valve I noticed that the outlet for the core is cold. What controls the flow of coolant through the heater core ?
With the engine off and dead cold...
open up BOTH bleeders before pouring the coolant into a coolant bleeder funnel (make sure you have the correct cap fitting).
Pour until a solid stream coolant comes out of the bleeders.
Close the bleeders quickly, before the coolant in the funnel runs low.
Refill the coolant in the funnel, if needed, to about halfway.
Start the car. Let it bleed out the rest of the bubbles.
Read the FSM. It should have a procedure like that. If there's a discrepancy...just follow the FSM
