Default s2000 fuel filter sock

Hello guys,

I want to replace my OEM fuel pump with a DW200 or Walbro. They are providing very small fuel filter sock (orange) with these pumps.
I have a spare new OEM fuel filter sock (larger and bigger than the sock provided with the aftermarket pumps).

Is that OK to use the OEM one or will it cause any issues with the pump? What’s the idea behind having a smaller one provided with the after markets pumps?
Can the size of the fuel filter sock creates fuel issues?t

Thanks for your help!

Rob

Provided it fits properly, use the oem.

I did this recently with a Walbro pump. I was able to use a new OEM sock + clip (annoying clip) but I did have to change the hose from the pump to a longer one to get the right length vs OEM.

Many thanks, so the sock is not the issue! The car is bogging after this fuel pump change, at low rpms, like it was going to stall for 2 seconds then behave normally. No issu at high rpms. Iam considering an AEM FPR + gauge to control the 43 psi
If any other recommandation, please share, thanks a lot!

The included sock is just universal and doesn't fit very good, OEM is much better and reaches further down in the tank.
Which pump did you use and did you have any issues prior to the pump change?
