S2000 Head/Piston Question

Not really worried bout the rings .. worried about the opinions I got on what I should do honestly I wish I wouldnt have ot do the rings so I can save some money.

alright lets look at the facts here.

160 psi is bad, reguardless, you should definately be at least in the 200 compression range across the board.

as far as leakdown test results, 5-10% is okay, but 16 is making me wonder.

during the leakdown test, you should of found WHERE it was leaking from. there are a few ways of doing this, listen at your exhaust while the cylinder is under pressure, if you hear air, its your exhaust valves, if its from your intake, it yours intake valves, and the last, if its blowing by your rings, you should be able to pop your dip stick and feel air coming from the hole.

now a blown head gasket...eh, hard to make up for that much loss. it would be more logical if you let us know where the gasket was blown, as far as closer to the side where the 2 cylinders are leaking the worse/have bad compression?

give full details when it comes to these things.
I'm a newer S2k owner but I have alot...and I mean alot of experience with motors and hondas.

the head gasket is leaking on the sides near the 2 cylinders and there is some wear on the middle too I could take some pics of it but I am not sure on how to post it

okay kool ill see about the sign up but yea soo ill just basically fix that piston ring i guess i got nothing to lose except some money lol thanks for the input guys I really appreciate it Ill fill you in more as I go along
