s2000 not starting
Hi so I have a MY00 s2000, and sometimes its not starting, the car will crank, start, then revs will drop and it'll turn off immediately.
after which the car will continue to crank but not start.
If I leave it for 5min or so and come back, it will then start fine.
any ideas where to begin looking for the problem?
as car is australian it does not have an obd2 port

You can still diagnose the problem via the DLC, it's OBD1 (I was told) using a 3P connector adapter to translate the signal to any OBD2 reader.. If you bring it to any Honda specialist, they'll know what your talking about!
Otherwise, short your SCS connector and see if it throws any codes, you can search the method on here. But my guess is you have a bad starter, reminds me of my mate's car.. Luck of the draw starts, until I replaced the starter motor of course!
Good luck!

yeah that makes sense, I'll check it out.
I have a feeling it might be due to the aftermarket alarm thats installed, maybe they didnt wire the fuel cut immobiliser circuit proper.
