S2000 trans fliud...MTF or ATF?
When i had my NSX, Honda still recommended using engine oil in it - they went to MTF in 1996, and I was friendly with Honda Engineering, since several cars (including mine) had a mysterious electrical gremlin that I found the answer to (a faulty design of the right side wiring harness). So they sent me lots of good info and answered my questions, but I did not ask what MTF was made of. I did get the beans on using high silicate coolants and octane from them.
I will see what I can dig up on MTF - anyone have an MSDS?
SORRY ABOUT THE DOUBLE POST!

Here is what I found - cue "Mythbusters". It is not a syn or a synblend:
This is press release I had lying around from a 2 year old Acura new model press kit:
"A specially formulated transmission fluid that offers superior performance in comparision to motor oil. Developed specifically for Acura manual transmissions, it has a special blend of purified mineral base oil and chemical additives to provide smooth, consistent shifting performance under all driving conditions, over a wide temperature range."
