Default S2k sputtering...jerking/bogging at lower rpms

Issue started occuring a couple weeks ago. I have a 2000 with about 51k on it. When I start the car it sounds like its sputtering out of the exhaust like its getting to much fuel or something. Also when I start to drive at low RPMs it almost feels like its jerking/bogging between loosing power and driving normal. Feels like maybe the fuels cutting off untill I give it more gas.

Currently I'm all bolts ons and nothing been added or removed to make this happen. I'm guessing could be a bad map sendor, plugs or my Walbro fuel pump is going bad? My map is zipped tied down from a yr or 2 ago when I did the map wack but Ill try the map wack again tonight. No CEL btw

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Mike

Look in the misfire thread (top of forum). Unfortunately there's lots of possibilities, all with similar symptoms. Could be MAP sensor (incl. clogged throttle body passage), clogged injector(s), coil pack(s) going bad, and on and on. Could even be ECU.

Good luck!

That's why I said check the plugs next. They usually have a story to tell. From there you can start swapping coil packs, etc.

Plugs were black - running rick for some reason. Changed them and it was fine for a day or so them symtoms started to creep up again. Map has been changed and I put my stock fuel pump back in. Symtoms still occuring. If it was a misfire wouldnt I throw a code?

Any other suggestions?

Hey, thought Id jump in and offer some advice.....I had the same problem. Car felt like it was stalling, missing, and lacking fuel. No CEL. After changing plugs and MAP, finally replaced primary o2 and that did it. No more problems. Hope this helps
