Vtek does not kick in unless ur car has warmed up .... that is so that users dont damage motors...

I agree. Most people on here seem to think the water temp is telling them when they can hit it.
I would rather wait another 10 mins after that before going to 9k rpm. (oil takes at least 15 mins of normal driving to get to operating temp).

i dont really have very many posts to add weight in what i have to say but...

dear op,
people like you are the reason why i hesitate about buying used cars. i can not think why anyone would want to redline a car that had just been cold started. do you just lack common sense or do you just not care about your ride? either way next time i buy a used car i hope my path does not cross someone who treats their car like you.
