safe to drive around with CEL P0411?
what happens to the car if you drive around with CEL P0411? are you going to permantly damage the car? lower gas mileage? etc?
The sensors are just tripped out by the air readings because of a faulty connection rite?
my appointment is wed but i need the car to get around..

I had one for some time. It was a cross connection of the vacum lines when I reinstalled the stock air box. I took it to a dealer and they could not find the problem. I did figure it out when I help a friend return his car to stock and he pulled the same code. Since we used my car as the referance, I knew it was the vac lines. So I took a ride upto the dealers lot, popped the hood on a new car and there is was, plane as day where I cross the lines. I put about 5k miles on the car during this time.
Is your car stock or have you changed anything?

i think i mentioned it in the thread i posted earlier, but it's worth repeating.
my P0411 code starting popping up when i put in the SC. the tech at comptech said that's one of the more common problem and is due to improper hose routing. he explained that the worse problem you'd have is an inability to pass an emissions test cuz the flow is incorrect. nonetheless, you want to fix any CEL that you come across.
i guess my question to you is ... what were you doing under the hood about 12 to 48 hours before the light popped on?

oh.. i bought the car used.. it had a injen intake.. i had the dealer put it back to stock..
Stratocaster, yeah i was reading your thread and Wortham's thread about this CEL too.. im guessing its probably the same situation(vacuum lines switched).. I was about to head over to honda today and check out a 03 too !
do you think you could take a picture of the vaccuum lines that were switched? Or the location on the diagram from your thread?
thanks for the input guys!

seeing that you're running a stock car, my routing wouldn't do you any good. but the most common routing problem is that on the engine. let's see if i can explain this w/o a pic.
you're looking into the engine bay from the front of the car. straight in front of you is the honda VTEC cover on top of the red cover. just to the right of that is the big silver deal with hoses going in and out. right near that are two hard lines, one on top of the other that if you standing in front of the car are pointed at you, slightly angled downward. it's those two hoses that seem to be routed incorrectly most often.

The Helms manual (I assumed the dealer used this) has a bad diagram of the vac line routing. The lines I got wrong were the lines on the on #1 in the diagram posted above. both of the connections to this were switched. If you hear a sucking sound comming from part #1, your lines are reversed.
You can swap them, and the sucking will stop. Go to AutoZone and have them pull the code (free) and tell them you have replaced the bad vac line and to reset the code.
The 411 is a PIA to track down. Too me 3 months to nail it down and the dealer was no help. Part of the problem is it will only happen when the car it stone cold. So if you you have drive to autozone to get it reset, the code will not come back until the next day (or two depending on Temp).

you know what my problem was when i got the code, strat? it was that air valve solenoid deal (number 1 above). when i remounted it with the sc, i mounted it upside down but still routed the hoses per comptech's directions. ever since i switched those two around, i've had no problems.
have you tried checking the orientation of that valve yet?
