ok i took my stock airbox off to see wat might be wrong on the bottom side.. they just zip-tied the hoses from #8-#7 and #1-#7 it looks like there was a place where the hose from #8-#7 was pinched.. im straightened it out.. and im gonna go test out the car.. hopefully this is the problem because all the hoses are hooked up rite.. :/

btw what goes through this hoses? just air?

Yes just air.

The hoses have mounting clips on the air box to hold them inplace. There should have been no reason to use wire ties.

This code is only generated when the car is stone cold. In other word, everytime I thought I had found the cause, I ran all day with out get the CEL. The next morning, there is was again. Sometime it took a few days. It drove me nuts.

This system is only active when the car is cold. This is why it only happens on the first start of the moring.

I am glad to hear that you found it. I hope so, like I said it took me a few months.

ya know, i didn't have ti all that long, but when i did, it came on and stayed on so your problem might be a little different than mine, strat.

i know how annoying that must be too cuz me and my car weren't on speaking terms for a few hours. it was a little hairy there for a bit.

i'm loving the SC, shiao, but i drive it so hard cuz i'm enjoying it that my gas mileage is suffering. i'll have to compare it when i settle into it. but then again, i just got my 4.77 gears in so i hear that'll take a small chunk out of my mileage as well.
