Safe rev limit

Default Safe rev limit

Currently tunned on haltech plug and play ecu on my ap1 s2000 what do you guys consider the safe rev limit of the f20c is 9200 ok? Or should I stick to 9000

i can’t set a fuel cut and an ignition cut at 2 different rpms I have a soft cut and an ignition cut I set my soft cut to 150rpm before my 9100 rpm ignition cut

the engine starts losing power well before 9000 rpms in stock form, and the engine stays well within the vtec power band in each gear when shifted ahead of 9000 rpm so unless you have some big cams I don't see the need to go 9200. If you can make power right to 9000+ rpms with your engine then go for it, otherwise I don't see the benefit.

the point is to be able to get that extra time in each gear to avoid shifting on track also because I have a soft rev limit set and a hard rev limit set and I want to have a good gap in between them at least 150rpm so the car starts cutting ignition at 8950 and at 9100 it’s completely cut

It’s not very clear some people state that the f20c redline is 9200 and some say it’s 9000

I'm curious - where are you getting this? It's been over a decade, but I'd have bet serious money my ap1 freely revved past 9k ... commonly accepted wisdom around here used to be approx 9,200 and change for fuel cutoff.
