^Yep, I found that out by accident. Also I find that when I'm trying to be too smooth in shifting (girl in car etc) I get more of the notchiness. Either I don't notice it or I'm making better shifts when I drive with more "enthusiasm".

Proving beyond a shadow of a doubt that the S2000 is best when driven as Honda intended -- with enthusiasm.

Drive more, worry less

great advice from all of you,

I took it out tonight and found out you are right, when shifted at or above 5.5k, the notchiness seems to go away.

I'm sure my wife will understand why I need to "drive like that", now.

On my my 06 i notice a slight click when i shift from first to second, it's not a noise, just something i feel in the shifter. it feels almost like the syncro is not quite right. does anyone else have this problem?

I'll have it checked at the dealer on the next checkup, but i was wondering if this is normal.

thanks for any input.

100% normal for sure. It is the notchy feeling we get when the tranny is cold. It will take at least (from my experience) 30 minutes or more for the tranny to fully smooth out. Try revving a little higher, shifting slower, or like one guy said try double clutching as this will work too. After the tranny(not your engine) is warm you should be fine and have forgotten all about the notchy feeling
