thanks for the input guys, i think the problem could very well be that im slightly missing the gate. ill be sure to go directly left before entering second instead of shifting diagonally into second. thanks again for the replies, much appreciated

 

Does it grind when going from high RPM 1st gear into 2:nd?

There is a bulletin on the grinding issue (00-055) . Maybe that doesnt apply when downshifting.. i dunno...
