Default Self healing s2000 ap1

On Sunday on a drive in my S2K I felt after a few miles some vibration through the clutch pedal and a slight change in engine noise! This happened for about 5-6 miles then stopped! A friend tells me it could be the thrust bearings on their way out! As it has appeared to have sorted itself out I don't want to fix something not broken however this could be a warning sign! Has anyone else experienced this? the car has 49k miles on the clock. Time for a new clutch??

Cheers for all your advice. Ever since that day the clutch has been fine. Well I say fine, occasionally the clutch sticks a little. Will ride her until I need to change it : )

It's not that bad after the first one. A lift and an engine support cradle makes it much easier.

History of the S2000 has shown more often than not, that when one has friends named "Chicken Little" or if one is paranoid or anal retentive or is an automotive hypochondriac, owning an S2000 is not the most ideal thing to do in life. If you fear that something is not right or if something is about to break, chances are an S2000 will break or there is something wrong with. Go down the road feeling every little vibration or hearing every little noise will sooner than later cause your greatest fears to materialize. Look for it and you will find it. You will spend endless hours and countless money taking things apart and replacing stuff that should have been just simply left well enough alone. Either this car "fixes itself" or it was never a thing wrong with it in the first place. Sometimes, it's better to go see your shrink than it is to go see your mechanic. A shrink knows how you're put together. The mechanic? Chances are, he hasn't got a clue about an S2000.
