Default Clutch problem

Hey, I was hoping someone could help me out.

For the last couple days my clutch has felt soft. I just had the clutch replaced probably a year or two ago, but have unlikely put more than 4-5k miles on it since then.

When i push in the clutch, not until half way down to i feel any pressure. It engages perfect, and there is not grinding or anything, but i can press it down with basically no effort until about half way to the floor, and then i get some feedback. Can anyone explain what this could be, or what i should do?

Thanks!

even the appearance of leaks in the master and slave cylinders can be fixed with by bleeding the clutch fluid and cleaning the reservoir.

i had an obvious leak in my master cylinder 3 years ago, and bleeding the clutch fixed the problem...have not had an issue since.

the mechanic that identified the leak would not bleed my clutch because he said it was a waste of time, that i had to change the master cylinder. i said i'd pay him to bleed the clutch, but he refused to.

well, i bled the clutch myself and obviously it fixed the problem, so try the bleed first before changing the cylinder due to an appearance of leaks.
