Normal. It's a direct shifter into the transmission. Mine vibrates a lot. If a lot of miles you can check your mounts to see if they are busted which could make it worse.
I think some of the engine torque dampers reduce that a little as well.

You do know you can change the ball on the end of the shifter and the socket it locates in? That tightens things up a little as does putting some nice thick grease down there. A little wobbling on the move is fine but it doesn't need to vibrate and growl to itself.

If you do remove the transmission cover panel to get to the shifter, be aware that the plastic ring clip that holds the weatherseal in place might break if you're not careful when removing it or may already be broken / missing. If it's missing then there's going to be more noise coming up through the shifter area.

If you're really uneasy about it, take the opportunity to pull the shifter. You can check for damage, re-grease with High Temp Urea grease and re-torque the bolts (DO NOT over torque).

One thing to check thats a lot easier than these other tips and usually over looked is the life of your tires.

If your running some bald ass tires the ride is gonna be a lot rougher and the shifter will vibrate like crazy at high speeds.
