Default Silly question...thread pitch on shifter?

I'm sorry for the off the wall question, but does anyone know what the thread pitch on the shifter is? The guy that owned it before me took the nut off and didn't put it back on when he traded the car in. I figured I could just go out and by a nut that will fit it, no? Or is the lock nut not just a standard nut? Thanks for any info.

This is information that all S2000 enthusiasts have right at the top of their heads. Yeah, right!
You might try taking the knob to a fastner (nut and bolt) shop. Just drive there and unscrew it since it's not locked down anyway, right? Find a bolt that the knob threads perfectly onto and then get the corresponding nut for that bolt. This way, no guess work.
