Default Skunk 2 exhaust with 70mm test pipe

ok so i had a skunk 2 exhaust and loved the sound it made, nice deep and it screamed at high rpm, then my cat went out on me so i bought a invidia test pipe, i noticed a pretty big performance increase,BUT now its raspy and a little ricer, it reminds me of a honda civic or a rcx , NOT COOL!!! is this normal or could it be that i have a exhaust leak? i did buy it used....... so im just wondering if this is just me or if other people are having this raspy sound with this 2 put together.
thanks!!

Test pipes are more raspy with cat back
Hi flo cat is an alternative, it might give less gains than a test pipe but it isnt raspy.
i have invidia dual n1 and berk hi flo cat and have no complaints about rasp.
