Default Skunk2 Megapower Header install tips

Any tips on getting a Skunk2 megapower header installed? Raise engine? Install from top or bottom?

I have read through all the DIYs on the forum, but other threads suggest this header is a PITA to install. I don't have access to a lift so will most likely be installing this at home on jack stands. Any advice would be appreciated.

With a Mugen header I had to loosen and remove the passenger side engine mount with the engine supported on a floor jack, and used the car's tire jack to move the engine towards the driver side to give more access. I think this is the minimum you will have to do with the Skunk header as that sucker is really wide, much wider than the Mugen. Good luck with it.

Thanks for the reply. Did you have the loosen and/or remove the driver side mount as well?

I can't remember if I loosened the driver side, but in your case I probably would as you will need the extra clearance.

No need to remove driver side but you need to remove passenger side mount and the big aluminium thing that bolt to the engine
Tilt engins to driver side
remove black heat shield for the battery and you cannot reinstall it

The car must be at less 2 feet high to install this header

I'm assuming you installed it from the bottom. Aside from the mount, did anything else have to be removed?

Yes from the bottom
Remove mount and battery heat shield and maybe the cat needs to be removed
