Ditch FRM and get the pistons you dream of. I re-sleeved my block and threw in Hi-Comp forged Arias units. Best decision I ever made.

Yes they should be able to remove your sleeves, re-coat them if necessary, and machine press them back into the block correctly. Also yes, our bottom end is all forged internals. Thats why some guys are able to run 400+ whp without rebuilding and put tons of miles on it if tuned right.
Could you elaborate on this. All the stock F20C blocks I've worked on have no sign of removable sleeves, plus I've never heard of anyone reapplying the FRM layer.

How do you think people sleeve their blocks? They have to be machine pressed in, its not something you can really just do at home or in a basic auto shop. If you ever send your block off somewhere to get sleeved, they remove the old sleeves, and press in the new ones into your block, then send it back to you. Also yes I have read multiple places that it is possible to re-do the FRM layer, I havent done much research on it since i'm not really interested in it, but I bet you can find somewhere that can do it.

Actually, FRM stands for Flame Retardant Material, in case the pistons catch on fire during high RPM operation.
