Swapped the rear tires today.
I couldn't get a chance see any change on the highway, it was the evening rush hour traffic. Everybody was moving slooow.
Then I had to go to work. Hopefully this Wensday.

Had the same issue as well as a loose feeling rear end at high way speeds on worn RS3's. New rears solved the issues.

Well, i finally got a chance to take the car out today. Checked PSI all tires at 32 cold.
On the highway, the car would shift to the right and sometimes shift to the left or it would shift to neither side.

Guess the car doesn't like these 2 different brand tires installed.

Took a look at the suspension, i think it's all original, struts/control arms/outer tie rods/end links/sway bar bushings/ball joints.
Didn't see any noticeable play on those parts(shook each piece by hand).

After i get a new softtop(if the wallet allows me...lol), i'll get a set of the OEM Bridgestones RE050. Should be a bit of an improvement to what i have on there now.

mis matched tires are no good. i thought you had a different set from the front to back. but if there are two different tires in the rear then this will be an issue.

The brand tires are not the problem. you are fine. my fronts are not the same brand as the rears and it doesnt pull like yours. U need to get it on an alignment rack and see where it stands. Just tell them your car is pulling to the right like you say. If you are within specs, then the shop can't charge ya because there's no adjustment or work to be done.

Mismatched tires in the rear I can almost guarantee is the problem. No need to look any further until those get replaced with a matching set.

Update:
With new Direzza ZII fitted all around, the car feels much better. None of that slight shifting to the side business.

** Also replaced the 4 diff mounts. (Thanks, Billman)
