Default Soft-top fabric pulling out from inside of frame

In a couple of places on the passenger's side, the fabric on the inside of my OEM soft-top is pulling out from the frame hoops. On the two middle frame hoops, the fabric is supposed to go around behind the frame hoop then tuck underneath a metal strip attached longitudinally along the hoops. However, starting at the outside, the fabric is pulling out from the metal strip for about 8" on the two middle hoops. I just noticed it today and will take it to the dealer (had the top replaced 9 months ago as part of the service advisory for ripped tops).

Any ideas on what would cause this? I just noticed it today, but it may have been there longer as I don't often look up at the inside of my top. When the top's down, it's hidden from view (unless one of the hoops doesn't fold into it's proper place).

Any ideas on a fix? I don't want to replace the whole frame at $1000, and am anticipating the dealer will deny any claim from the top replacement last year (car is an '05 with 70k miles).

Any concerns about high speed driving (e.g. top up track day) with this condition?

Push the material back in and squeeze the metal strip back in with your fingers. It's thin and easy to reshape.

Will it stay in place with use? Seems rather flimsy for it to stand up to lots of wind.

I wouldn't be surprised if Honda would help you out on a problem with a warranty repair that is less than 12 months old. It's worth asking them about it.

It will hold just fine. It just wasn't bent in correctly. The top does not flutter or balloon in an S2000 like other cars.
