Default Softtop replacement with frame.

Well i found a good deal on a new oem roof with frame attached. Whats the difficulty level swapping that frame and roof into my00? Im assuming its easyer to swap it with the frame already attached. Debating if i should do it myself or pay someone. Thanks

It's not terribly difficult, just time consuming.

haha that's what I am doing tooo....

I have read up a bit on it (do you have the honda manual cos i can send to ya) it's all seats out, back interior panels, roll hoops then start unbolting the motor, that rear rain guard thing with 10 bolts and it should all come out....

there a couple of soft top replacement guides in the DIY sticky thread that shows everything you need to remove from the interior to start to get the roof out...

if you wait like a week i may have a proper guide up...

here is what I used, I just installed mine this weekend and really the only PITA part of installing the soft top tray(left and right pieces) and attaching the back part of the canvas.

https://www.s2ki.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=448840

and here are my pics during the install and a few tips, sorry for the crappy iphone pics...

take as much out of the back as much as possible (roll hoops all plastic trim)

if your soft top came in like mine(folded all the down) you can lay it down on top of where the gas tank/fuel pump are at and line up the bolt holes of the softtop frame and bolt it in. Make sure that you put a blanket or something soft underneath it (dont want that rear window broken)

remember the blanket...

once bolted down plug in the soft top motors and raise up your soft top ...

^^when installing the canvas to the back of the car, have the top half way up and bolt the center plate down first then the left and right plates^^

Almost finished...

after finishing bolting everything down and before puting back all the trim pieces and roll hoops and such...

Do A Leak Test!!! use a water hose and (no nozzles of any sort) with low pressure
- spray the window area
-the area where the top meets the windshield frame
- and the back/sides of the soft top where the water collects.

If there is no leaks then start putting in the trim pieces back in
