Did that...been running on my new sparks for about 3 weeks and all is good. Just got curious about the coils since I hadn't read much on their maintenance.

Thanks!

I was recommend to do a 0.28 gap ngk one step colder and I want to change my plugs.. I'm not too sure of which gap I currently have.. Will this affect my tune?? Or should I wait until I get it tuned to gap and tune the car to change the plugs and gap amount???

Thanks

on the very first page "Spark plug gap should be around .039"-.043"/ 1.0mm-1.1mm" yes, this will affect cars performance and tune. you should gap first anyways since it is wrong.

so far what i have heard it gap them to the highest recommended spec. this will give a better burn, but in turn this could shorten the life of the plug by extending the gap too far in shorter time causing misfires due to the spark not being able to jump the gap to form a good spark.

I know this is redundant, but I just tried to remove my spark plug cover, just to see if it would strip.

No problems here, but I can see how that "snap" is very scary. my allen keys have a grip so I just applied jolts of torque to get them off. They all broke free very cleanly! But without this thread, I probably would have stripped them.

THANKS!

I've been all over to other forums sites trying to find a spark plug replacement post. Thanks for this info.
