Have you checked Advance Auto Parts?

I did check Autozones and Pep Boys, and they did not have it.

But, one of three Advance Auto Parts in my area had it in stock and now they are sitting in my room.

That is the plug I replaced mine with in a 2004 F22. I noticed that Handa-accessories has a plug for sale that has the "Honda" brand on it. Is that an NGK plug too?

That is just the NGK oem plug shipped in a Honda box, and then the dealer can charge a different price that way.
Afaik the Honda plugs have had someone ensure the gap is correct for the S2000. Thus the branding any price difference.

Picked up some NGK laser platinums(7772) from a local Bap Geon today. I did check the gap before I left, just like you suggested Saki. They all seemed to be right at/around .040". Saki, I know you said not to worry about using an anti-sieze, but I couldn't see anything on the new spark plugs that looked like an anti-sieze or anything. Is it just the design on the threads?

Its the metallic coating on the threads - its designed to break apart when you screw the spark plug in and later want to remove it.

You can save yourself some $ by getting the NGK V-Power plugs.I run the BKR7E in my 03.Runs great, about $2 ea and O'Reillys has them.

Copper doesn't last as long (20k or so),but since it's only a 30 min/$8 job..who cares.

No perf/econ diff with these VS the iridium's.I've used both.

Just my .02

I had a CEL because of a misfire in cyclinder 1. It was a bad coil, so I replaced all my coils and spark plugs for the first time (MY00 w/ 57K). The spark plug in cyclinder 1 had a gap of .50 when I removed it.

Great tutorial! Everything seems to be running well now. A valve adjustment will probably be my next undertaking some time in the future.

After repeated mentionings of the BKRs by Redline, VAD, other UTH members, I finally went with these instead of the OE plugs. $2/each from local shop (O'Reilly has 'em for $2.50). They ran out of BKR7Es, so I went with BKR6Es (which happens to be the exact same plug I was using in the Miata). So far, they're just about perfect on a hi-mi 105K mi car. Even at 20K mi, I won't be keeping this car long enough to warrant the OE plat/irids which are $11/ea locally.

Thank you s2ki. Copper plugs for life. (Also, I find it interesting the s2k is now using same filter/plug/battery as my NA8CE Miata)

2005 with 22k, dont touch them. Seriously. no good will come of it. Only harm from improper torque.
