Default Spark plug gasket replacement

Hey I got a new valve cover and am in the process of trying to put new spark plug gaskets in it. The problem is the gaskets will fit in the valve cover but not over the spark plug tubes when I try to replace the cover. I have tried putting them on the tubes and then putting the valve cover on but they dont fit in the valve cover correctly when I try to do it that way. Suggestions from someone who has done this?

Silly question, but are they geniune Honda gaskets? I know some on eBay listed as fitting S2000, but they don't always fit.

Put seals in valve cover, make sure they're placed correctly, then fit the valve cover with all gaskets in place. Before you torque anything down, use your fingers, dab a little oil on them and push the seals over the tubes on the head. It takes a little work to do, once you get them on torque everything down to 9ft lbs and you're done.

My brother owns a NAPA store and has always been good about getting correct parts so thats what they are. Slowcrash I have tried that but I guess I can keep trying.
