Default Valve cover seals and grommets

Any tips would be much appreciated on this issue i've had a second time within a year. About a year ago I started up my car one morning and the idle was way off, and it was obvious some of the cylinders were not firing. Upon Investigation after pulling off the valve cover. I noticed that the rubber seal grommets that shown in "Picture A" tend to pop out of their little slots on the inside of the valve cover, and end up sliding down the spark plug/ignition coil chamber tube shown in "Picture B".

"Picture A" (Rubber grommets out of valve cover retainer)

"Picture B" (Rubber grommets out of valve cover retainer, and slid down the spark plug chamber tube)

The problem when this happens, is all of the oil from within the inside of the valve cover, starts overflowing into the spark plug/ignition coil chamber causing it to foul the spark plug/ignition coil. Any tips, or ideas would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Make sure the tube seals are driven all the way into the valve cover. Most people just go till it's flush with the lip of the V/C and they actually go about 1/16th farther than that. If installed properly/all the way, you won't have any issues. Buy yourself a new set and install them and you'll be good to go.

either your spark plug tube seals were worn, or they were not seated correctly. Make sure they go all the way into that recess.

Your problem is they are installed UPSIDE DOWN

The two tube seals in the valve cover are upside down. So when you put the new ones in the valve cover, make sure they are opposite of what you have there.

Your first problem is that you are putting the spark plug seal in backwards. Take a look at this thread: https://www.s2ki.com/s2000/topic/817...left-or-right/

Yea Billman caught this problem with my car. Mine weren't installed wrong but ripped causing oil to get in 2 of my spark plugs.
