The speed sensor is tied the the EPS computer. So do you have gear and a speedo adjuster?

Check the connections for the yellow jacket. Odds are they are loose or disconnected. If that fails uninstall the yellow jacket to see if it went bad.

New search must not suck all that bad. It led me here. Picked up my car today after a clutch change and had the same symptoms. My yellow box is under the console and the connector must have worked loose when the shifter was put back in. I snugged it back up and we're all good now.

In my case the EPS light was intermittant and the strangest part was when I stopped the car at idle I could pull the steering wheel left to right once and let go and it would move the same range left to right by itself until I stopped it. Freaky.

This very thing happened to me a while back and my yellowjacket had failed giving the symptoms you describe. Installed a new yellowbox and it has been fine since.

That's really strange. Glad you got it sorted.
