That is frigging cool! I want it but than I guess you lose a jack point?
On my mod, I can still lift the car by the diff. On the Spoon, you'll lose that jacking point, but you can always jack it up one side at a time and put jack stands under the side rails.

(Purely my opinion only)
My temp readings do not indicate that they are any cooler than the ones that another member was doing with his stock diff, however, it was pointed out that my fins were a bit on the thin side to do any real good. Having said this, I still come to the following conclusions:
-Fins may be indeed beneficial for this diff as they will help to dissipate the heat better.
-One thing I did notice was that even though the diff temps went up as speed and load increases, once speed and load was reduced, the temp came down quite rapidly. I can't say if this would occur on a stock diff as Modifry never posted such observations.
-Whether or not the maximum temps reached in my experiment was anywhere near what Modifry got is hard to say, as both conditions were most likely different enough to make a correlation difficult. I would need to remove the fins and do another set (but I'm just too lazy - maybe next summer when the heat comes back).
I didn't check out to see what the price was, so I can't say if it's worth it. Keep in mind that it's only the back cover and has no contribution to the overall strength of the diff. If one were to track this car or otherwise drive it hard on a regular basis, I believe it would be worth it. I think it "could" make a difference in those borderline cases where the difference between one clutch drop and the next is "MUSH".
