i already put the spring into the strut and im ready to put them back on to the car. the problem is the studs on the top of the strut dont line up so the bottom part does not go on the the lower arm. i have the helm and it says to put it a certain amount of degrees put i dont really understand the drawing. a little help please.

The diagrams in the manual show the angle of a line though the top bolts from the centerline of the bolt through the shock. You will notice they are different for right and left as well as front and rear. I always draw a pattern for each on a piece of paper (to stand the shock on) so I get them pretty close before tightening.

I don't really remember which stock spring is longest, but your new ones should be marked. I'll see about looking at a stock set when I get home.

I just used trial and error to get it right, It took about 2 tries each by standing the shock next to the car and trying to get the angle right. I was unaware of any special procedure, hopefully I didn't mess anything up.

I agree, but did I mess anything up? I don't really see how though as putting the top on the spring is not exactly rocket science. At least, it didn't seem like it to me.

I was unaware there was a procedure to doing so.

I think the shorter springs go in the rear...at least for my car.

Hey DJ Hohum, I wrapped those springs in that plastic bubble wrap and each one had FRONT or BACK on it... right? Did you pull them out and get confused?
