Squeaking under the ... ???
I'll bet a lot of people have this problem. I read about this awhile back and no one could resolve this problem. People were suggesting the problem was anything from the shock to the engine making this noise. I opened up the hood one day to check on the squeak and realized the latch mechanism was all cruded up with dirt. That's when I decided to put some grease on it. It was imbarrassing having a car that squeaked when I had someone in the car. The squeaking started out last summer and just recently a few months ago, I tried the fix. Since then...car lacks the humiliating squeak. Who would've thought the culprit was the latch?
I didn't for 4 months!

I have this problem too -- I thought I was alone out there, but I guess not!
Hmmm...I'll try lubing the hood latch...come to think of it, there's a high chance it is the hood latch since my car got into a crash and they had to repair the front...

If the front was repaired, it could be other things besides the latch. But it wouldn't hurt to give the latch a try.
