Default Squeeling sound at 3500 rpms...

All,

Basically with climbing rpms, at approx ~3500 rpms there is a slight squealing noise coming from under the bonnet. It is like noise from a mouse....This noise lasts for about 100-200 rpms and is never seen again throughout the rpm range.

I noticed the sound is most pronounced under normal acceleration in 1st, 2nd, 3rd gear (after 4th, wind is too loud) and very slight when decelerating in gear.

Please any ideas are welcome. If you need further information please ask.

Thanks!
Phil.

Typical intake "whistle". Experiment by removing the airbox lid and go out and drive as usual to get the noise. If I'm right, the sound should be amplified.
