Hello guys,

I had a quick question in regards to the srs module. Would a 2004 srs module work for a 2006 vehicle? I know the part numbers are slightly different, but I wanted to know before a shop goes about buying an older model for it not to work. I feel, visually, they are close, but my concern is that it might not work due to the fact that 2006+ s2k's came with the dual stage airbag setup.

The reason I ask this is to help turn off the airbag light. Maybe, you guys know ways around it. So please, all information will help

There is a 10 dollar tool that resets the timer and is sold at hondaautomotiveparts.com

dont swap out your srs module yet, there is also a DIY on resetting the srs timer.

 

NO it will not work. The 06+ has dual stage airbags and as such the controller is differant.

I should know today if everything worked out. I got a new srs unit and wires to see if that will fix it. From what the shop told me is that the seat weight sensors needed to be calibrated.....i hope that is all. What a deep hole this has been.
