I'm in the process of replacing my clutch master and slave cylinders. I picked up a stainless steel clutch line at the same time. The stainless line's banjo connector doesn't have the pin tab that prevents rotation like the OEM line. Is this a problem? Has anyone used a clutch line without the pin/tab? I'm just concerned about it rotating, loosening and then leaking.

 

Any help? I just want to hear from someone who has used a similar line. All the after market lines, I can find a picture of, do not have the pin.

 

I have not installed stainless lines on the S2000 yet, but I have installed them on other cars and I encountered the same thing. You should be fine, make sure to use the copper washers on the banjo bolt and tighten to spec and you should be good.

 

Yup that's all you really need to do. You may have to hold the line in place as you tighten it up because it will want to rotate. out of position, the main reason it has the ear to start!
