STANDARD BREAK-IN!!!(any moderators please edit title.)

If you get a brand new Diff(honda's one) not the Kazz do you need to break it in? If so how and how soon can you say..............take the car to the Auto-x?(no clutch dumps of course.......maybe 3K RPM or less.)

Thank you for your responces.

Someone posted this URL in another thread. It is a pretty good read.

I'd just go easy on it for 500 miles like I did when I got my J's Racing gears put in...stay out of 8000-9000 area. Don't launch, don't power shift. Don't bog it(high gear low rpm on hill, etc).

Sounds like you will be in the "scenic" run group at Fall Colors

I dunno about that pulling over every 15 miles and letting it cool from the link above. None of us did that when we got our cars brand new.

Ken might give you some advice also.

I don't know much about differentials but the Mazda (stock) differential is gear based, and therefore should not require any break-in.
