I started our white 03 this morning and it was about 30 degrees outside and the engine idled up to about 3000 rpm then it surged down to maybe 2300 back to 3k. As I drove it it quit surgeing and once warm it idled fine. Can someone shed light on what could have failed or what is failing on the car. There was also no check engine light.

And idle fluctuation like that is a sticking IAC valve
