Default Starter replacement problem

Recently this winter my car has started to make the cold weather skreetch. Well today I changed the starter and everything went good, no broken knock sensor or anything. However when I went to start it up nothing happened, touched the push start and nada. Any suggestions on what this could be? Any help is much appreciated

Did you hook up the secondary circuit wire? It's a small push-on connection next to the primary connection bolt on the solenoid.
