Mac: Once it's done I don't have a problem giving rides to anyone

Here is a picture of the bottom end.

I am very confident in the sleeves. Everything's gonna be OK.

cjb: are you willing to disclose the piston to bore clearance? I'm not an excellent judge of these things, but it looks huge in those pics, like a .070 job.

cd

PS: the block looks great.

The piston to wall clearance looks huge because of the shadow. I am surprised that someone cought on to that, because no one mentioned it in the other pic I posted it. It's an optical illusion.

The piston to wall clearance is very tight, but the shadow makes it look huge.

Heh heh

I am using the Speedcraft kit, yes. The turbo should be good for quite a bit of power.

And yes, O-rings are good. heh heh

This is very close to what I am having done to one of my engines that AEBS has except I am closing my deck...not to bring up any past discussions but I thought it would be better off safe than sorry. Not saying you will have any problems but I am going for overkill. Are you planing on using the same turbo that Speedcraft sent? If I am not mistaken...which I could be...someone please verify, but a B housing with a 60-1 will only get you to about 600hp. Did you get flow test done on the head after porting? Did you change valve sizes or are you going with stock? Right now my engine is being held up waiting for studs to be made. Not that it matter to much since winter is coming and I won't drive the car in the snow. Just gives me more time to figure out what to do with the tranny and rear end. I would really like to compare notes with you about what you have done so far and see how they match up to mine.

I had studs made in a couple days from Raceware. They are mainly a Porsche/BMW company. You have to send them a stock head bolt.

600hp is pretty damned good, don't you think?? heh heh

Keep in mind that this is a street car, not a drag car. Head porting resulted in huge exhaust side gains, and very good gains on the intake side as well. We are using oversizes intake valves.

This is pretty exciting. Looks like there a little less than a handful of absolute beasts being built. Can't wait to read up on one of you guys in Superstreet.
