Sticky Throttle
Hey guys, I parked my car outside in the rain all weekend and came back to a sticky throttle. Whenever I step on the gas, there's a kink before it smoothly engages. Does the pedal or throttle cable just need some lube or maybe it needs to be re tightened? The problem happened over a short two day period, and I think the rain and this problem are unrelated as I've parked it outside many times before. Thanks.
That is usually the throttle plate sticking in the throttle body bore.
Usually cleaning the edges of the plate will cure it. (clean it with a rag, do not spray anything into the TB)
If not, a micro adjustment will be needed to the stop adjuster to compensate for wear.
