Default Strange occurrence with rear wheels

I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me the first time I saw it but now it looks like there's an issue but I don't know what is causing it.

If you look at this picture, the right wheel, it seems to be sticking out from the rear bumber more than the left one is. I did an unscientific test by sticking my fingers at the top of the tire and trying to see what the difference is between the tire and wheel well but I really couldn't come to a determination.

Is this some sort of illusion or is there an issue I need to be concerned with?

What's the history of the car? Has it ever slid into a curb?

Better yet, what wheels are on the car? Any chance a front and rear of different offsets were accidentally swapped on one side?

Stock AP1 wheels, the same ones when I bought it new. Yes, it was damaged in August 02 but I've never noticed this til recently. Pics of the damage are in my gallery.

Your left mirror sticks out further than the right too! It's likely just the angle the picture is taken from. An alignment will move the wheels a pretty small amount if they're not grossly misaligned.

There's also not much holding the lower forward edge of the bumper either.

Agree with checking alignment. Toe in and camber can make the wheels look like that. Also bent suspension components can do that, too.

EDIT: did someone steal your antenna?

Yep and after it happened the 2nd time, I decided not to replace it. The S2K stereo is so crappy anyway so I just listen to my MP3 player.
