Strange occurrence with rear wheels
I thought my eyes were playing tricks on me the first time I saw it but now it looks like there's an issue but I don't know what is causing it.
If you look at this picture, the right wheel, it seems to be sticking out from the rear bumber more than the left one is. I did an unscientific test by sticking my fingers at the top of the tire and trying to see what the difference is between the tire and wheel well but I really couldn't come to a determination.

Is this some sort of illusion or is there an issue I need to be concerned with?

Your left mirror sticks out further than the right too!
It's likely just the angle the picture is taken from. An alignment will move the wheels a pretty small amount if they're not grossly misaligned.
There's also not much holding the lower forward edge of the bumper either.
