I emailed Comptech and asked about the boost upgrade that they were apparently working on for the S/C. They said that the boost upgrade was coming "in the near future."

Does anyone know anyone in Comptech (does anyone from Comptech post here?) know more specifically when the upgrade will be available, and if it's just a different pulley or is there more to it...

Any theories as to how much boost could be run though the F20C with out having a major drop in reliability/longevity.

Thanks

Chris

I am going to be picking up Blowns2000's S/C & intercooler setup which apparently lowers the preasure by 1 psi. I figured if I get the 8 psi pulley then I would be running around 6.5 or 7 psi, and that would be pretty safe... maybe I just don't know what I am talking about!!!

When I talked with Shad a while back he said it was adding an intercooler and then raising the boost via a pulley change.
cj, I'm pretty sure their net result will be higher boost, so it will be more than the 8-1=7psi scenario you're talking about. In this case, their specific reason for intercooling will be to allow running at higher boost, safely.

I was able to confirm that something is in the works by emailing Comptech. They said we should know more pretty soon, but didn't say what the "Boost Upgrade" was.

I don't know Shaner, I definitely received a response from info@comptechusa.com saying "yes" to the boost upgrade and that it was "coming out soon".
