Default Supercharger and gauges

As some of you know I have been reading up on comptech and vortech superchargers. Both are bolt on and give everything that is needed. My question is are any gauges required that I should purchase and put inside the car? I mean required as in gauges that will tell me if something is going wrong. I want to put as few, or none if possible, gauges inside the car. If I had to put any gauges though which one would I need?

I have seen many gauges and do not know which ones would be necessary, or even tell me when something is wrong. Some gauges are there just to show information but will not tell me if something is wrong. My concern is I want gauges that I will need to use if something goes wrong, I do not wanna waste money and space on gauges that will do very little for me.

Thanks
JP

i would get a boost gauge to tell you if your belt needs to be tighten by losing boost, oil pressure to make sure your not losing oil witch is very important. all gauges are good to have but i feel these are the most important. i also think that the new aem fuel ratio gauge looks good and is important to have. my opinion

I have comptech S/C, and I have boost and exhaust temp gauge waiting to be installed. Boost in important for obvious reasons, but I was told that the exhaust temp is good because you can tell if you are running too rich or lean.

the most important ones are Oil pressure and Air Fuel Ratio
Ideally you want, Oil Pressure, boost pressure, Air Fuel Ratio and/or EGT
Also Fuel pressure for tuning purposes...
