Default Supercharging and headers

I once read that when supercharging a vehicle that a header with short primaries works best. Now this was with an Integra GSR and a Jackson Racing SC. Does this statement still hold true for a centrifugal type blower? Is there even a company that makes a header with short primaries for the S2000? Has anyone here with an SC changed thier headers after getting an SC?
Thanks!

Sorry, I didn't have an answer for you and still don't. I put on a Toda header after having my S/C for over 1/2 a year but I have not dynoed so I can't tell you anything concrete. My butt dyno told me there was no discernable difference.
I can see where this information is maybe more pertinent to a turbo application? Short runners here would make for faster spool up. I can't say for a S/C app.

I can't remember who it was, but you might do a search. I know that someone went from stock to Toda header and gained somewhere in the vicinity of 18hp.

Edit: I just found a thread, and it looks like it was "sky-chicken" that made those gains w/ the Toda header. I haven't seen any posts from him lately, though, so I don't know if he's still around.

I think you are right - it was "sky-chicken" but I also recall he had done some other mod or upgrade at the same time and the gain could not be attributed entirely to just the header.

If I remember correctly they used to say that short primaries aid in low rpm torque as opposed to long primaries, dont know if this helps your question as a dyno would be best to prove this

I believe he upgraded his clutch and flywheel, along with the Toda header....too bad he didn't do a test with JUST the header....
