Default Swap AP2 ecu onto AP1

I'v saw people swap AP1 ecu on AP2 to rev it to 9k, doesn't matter if the engine gonna damage or not, it works. So did anyone tried to put the reprogramble AP2 ecu on AP1, maybe some sensors swap and TB?

It would take a lot of sensor swaps and then the wiring...sounds like a lot of work to get a reflash. An AEM EMS would be more cost effective and would allow for a custom tune.

I could see how AP2 guys would want to upgrade there valvetrain, and rev 9K to make more h.p and torque. If you were to knock off a thousand RPM from the from the already torque deprived F20c i'm pretty sure you wouldn't gain power or torque maybe loose some. Even with the throttle body and sensors you were mentioning, that engine is made to rev high and makes it power up there, the extra 0.2L the F22 displaces makes that slight difference in torque, The AP2 ECU would most likely hook up but I don't see it yielding any gains. I would probably use an aftermarket programable ECU such as the AEM or Hondata. That, and you keeping the 9K redline tuning will def have a positive outcome .

you've missed the point entirely. the OP has got to be talking about swapping in an 06 ECU that is subject to the Hondata reflash.

anyway, by the time you make it work you could have simply gone AEM EMS and gotten a great tune matched to your car. Hell, with all the costs involved to convert to DBW and get the reflash you could probably have gotten the KPro.....

It's not feasible to swap all the DBW specific systems to an earlier car to use the DBW reflashable PCM.
