I own a ap1 2001 and need to replace the soft top and frame was wondering if the ap2 frame would work without any issues

 

Direct swap. Just need to add defroster wiring and switch.

Sorry to bring this up from the dead but will it work in reverse? 00-01 frame bolt up to a 04 and what yr replacement canvas would i buy

 

Works in reverse, but then you'd have to get the plastic window soft top.

That's the only reason people do it, to get rid of the plastic window.

 

You can add in the straps to make a glass window (ap2) top fold correctly on the AP1 frame.

I have an AP2 top on my 2001.

Thanks. I unfortunately no longer have the frame for MY04 and have a local that is selling me the frame out of his 01 plastic window. I plan on replacing the plastic window top with a glass softop just wasnt sure if it would work.


So if i just add the straps i can put a glass.
