I have been using Amsoil 5W 40 for more than 40,000 miles now. That also works well at the track.

No big deal changing oil brands...I just wouldn't do it often.

Lot's of good oils.Here is what I use in all my rods:

Penn Plat 5-30 Oil
Wix or Pure One Oil Filters
K&N Air Filters
on S2k:Honda MFT fluid
RP Diff Fluid

I would use a full syn oil and change it every 4-5k miles.

How is this thread any different than any of the countless former oil threads? You really need to read and make your own decision. I can suggest Amsoil but there are plenty of other very good oils out there as well.

This is the way I see it. If you can afford it then buy Amsoil or redline, if you want to save a few bucks then buy mobil1 or castrol full synthetic.
