TCT maintenance hole plug

Default TCT maintenance hole plug

I just installed my new Billman Gen X TCT tonight and discovered this red stuff on maintenance hole bolt:

Is this normal? It looks like some red crayon shavings or something.

Also I came across this other hole between the header and the actual TCT:

I noticed that there's no bolt here, just an open hole. Is this normal too? Looks clean as a whistle.

yikes that stuff could be some gasket maker or something!! I don't remember seeing that stuff when I did mines. That other hole is for when you take the engine out, you screw in the bolt from the engine hoist.

Looks like the red high stregnth thread lock to me as well.

I think the other hole is always empty. I believe it is for engine removal IIRC.

That is red factory locktite and it's normal.

Threaded hole is the engine lift hole, it gets used as a supercharger mounting point as well.
